Would the Men of the NFL Play the Game – Or Let Their Kids Play – If They Knew Then What They Know Now?

Against the backdrop of growing awareness of the widespread and devastating effects of traumatic brain injuries such as concussions, CTE, and brain damage, caused by repetitive hits to the brains of football players, young and old, many of the very NFL players who helped define the game are coming to the conclusion that they would not have played if they knew and that they would not let their children or grandchildren play.

Among the growing list of players that are speaking out are “man’s men” football icons like Bo Jackson, Mike Ditka, Terry Bradshaw, Harry Carson.  When these men speak on this topic, we should listen.
